I was going through some old art when I came across this one and had the urge to finish it.  This was a lunch time sketch I did about a year ago, and here's the final product from today.

The Blackthorn

I've been reading "The Stormlight Archive" by Brandon Sanderson.  Great books.  Very good source material to do some cool paintings.  This is one of the highprinces, Dalinar Kholin, aka the Blackthorn in his shardplate about to engage a Chasmfiend.  This scene is from book one, The Way of Kings.  My own idea of how his plate and sword looks.

WIP Orc Pirate

Cleaned up the lines a bit and fixed some stuff I didn't like about the original sketch.  Trying to decide if I want to do gray scale or go straight to colors.  Decisions, decisions.

Hogan Orc evolved...

Hogan Orc is becoming something more interesting.  A pirate maybe?

TMNT Splinter Concept Final

My take on Master Splinter.  Even though Splinter always looked pretty rat-like, I wanted to push him even farther.  I also thought he would be more Yoda like, old and wise, yet the most skilled and powerful.  In the show and comics he usually had a cane.  I wanted to make his cane a katana without a guard.

Poison Ivy Lunch Sketchin

Wanted to draw up some womenz so did some work on this Poison Ivy over my last two lunches.  First day was the sketch, and second day was the basic paint up and background.  Going to keep working on this every lunch until I'm done.  Also practicing integrating my characters into a background at the beginning of my process.
